25.05.2001 at 14.00 in Minsk in the court of Leninsky district (Lenin street, study 3) the next proceeding above the representatives of the team of Valery Levonevsky and the Strike Committee of the Businessmen of the Republic of Belarus will be held.
22.05.2001 in Minsk at the market "Dynamo" Evgeny Klunok, Elena Vorobieva and Elena Shchastnaya who distributed the bulletin "THE
EMPLOYER", open letter of Valery Levonevsky and information message of the Strike Committee to the businessmen and employees of militia were arrested. The detention was carried out by the security service headed Yu. A. Chupris. Igor Treshchev and Ruslan Bairoshevsky had been there before.
Evgeny has "got" most of all. The employees of the security service, approximately at 12.30, Evgeny was delivered by force to a room of militia. The support was carried out by roughness and obscene swearing. In the room of militia Evgeny was withdrawn all distributed production, they made up the protocol, refused to explain his rights and to use the legal help, forbade to use a toilet. Valey Levonevsky, the chairman of Valery Levonevsky, tried to interfere to the process of illegal detention and violation of the rights of the detained person, but the employees of militia (captain and major) demanded Levonevsky to leave the room of militia. Having kept Evgeny about two hours in the room of militia, he was delivered to the duty unit of militia in Lenin, 13 accompanied by the militian escort. The girls were treated more "humanely" – having kept them from 16.20 to 17.00 and then they were let to go home. The girls asked the employees of militia to fix their illegal detention, but the militia refused to make up the protocols on the security service.
The same illegal actions concerning the persons distribnuting the bulletin "THE
EMPLOYER" were undertaken at the market "Tractor", there the manager exceeded all powers and independently blamed the defenceless girls (Elena Vorobieva and Elena Shchastnaya) – he arrested them for 30 minutes, taken the bulletins away and expelled from the market. All this was accompanied by threats and insults with the help of the persons of a criminal exterior. The protocol of withdrawal and detention was not made up. The employees of militia were not involved to detention, withdrawal and other violent actions, the administration has refused to cause them though the detained persons required to call the employees of militia.
The illegal actions of the officials of the markets, security service and the militia will be appealed against in the Public prosecutor’s office of Minsk.
